Do I register my domain name or will WebXLR8 do that for me?
If you plan on hosting your Domain through us, and you have not yet registered your Domain Name.
We recommend you apply for hosting first as it will apply for your Domain Name at the same time.
If you are only going to register a Domain Name & are not going to use our hosting service you can do so by clicking here.
We only charge $17.95 per domain a year and provide excellent service and support.

What are FrontPage extensions and do you support them?
If you are using FrontPage to design and build your web site you will need your web host to have FrontPage extensions installed on their server. All of our hosting packages support FrontPage 2000 and 2003.

Can I access my domain address without the "www"?
Yes, you can access your domain address with or without the "www" in front of the domain name. The "www" is a tertiary domain name that isn't necessary if your nameserver is set up properly.

Do you offer SSL encryption for transferring credit card information?
YES! Our servers are equipped with the latest SSL technology so your customers can safely order your products or services online! Normally, any text sent from your browser is sent as plain text. This means that a hacker could potentially intercept the information sent from your browser and read it.By using the secure server (SSL), the information is encrypted before it is sent. You have to buy a security certificate to enable the secure server - they are very inexpensive and we offer them.

Can I upload pages frequently?
Each account comes with an FTP account. You have full access to your space via FTP 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The file manager in your control panel can also be used to upload pages to your site if you do not have access to FTP.

How long does it take to set up my account?
H Sphere accounts are usually setup within 30 minutes.

What is a cgi-bin and how do I get one?
A CGI-bin is where you store CGI scripts. These scripts; are used to generate online order forms, guestbooks, shopping carts, counters, and more. All WebXLR8 hosting packages include their own CGI-bin.

What CGI Scripts come already installed?
All WebXLR8 hosting packages comes with a hit counter, a search engine, a site creation tool, chat rooms, a form e-mailer, and a file manager plus many more. If you are interested in adding more CGI scripts to your account, you may do so.

Will my Apple work with my WebXLR8 account?
Yes. Our servers use standard protocols such as FTP, Telnet, SSH, and HTTP that are compatible with Apple operating systems.

What is the Account Control Panel?
The Account Control Panel makes managing your web space fun and easy. This extraordinary interface offers you a way to quickly view account-related information and provides easy access to the wide variety of tools and utilities that come with your account. With the click of a mouse, you can administer your web space, e-mail accounts, directories, cgi-bin (program script storage area) and all the special features offered, including site statistics and shopping carts. You can even add additional features to your account whenever you need them. Gain control and flexibility to make changes within your own time frame and according to your own particular business needs. NEW! Choose your language! Do you host foreign domains?
Yes. All domain names will work with WebXLR8 accounts.

How much data transfer do you allow for my site?
That all depends on the plan you pick. For more information on bandwidth allowance please contact us.

How fast is the WebXLR8 network?
Extremely FAST!!! We have a 100% Fiber Optic Gig E Connection to the internets Fiber back bone. What that means is that no matter where you or whoever is visiting your web site is from the load times will be faster than 95% of the sites on the internet

What are auto responders and how many do I receive with my account?
You can set up auto responders to automatically respond to incoming email. For example, if you had an order form which your customers email to you, you can set up an auto responder to email the customer a confirmation message that their message was received.Each account plan comes with a pre-specified amount of auto responders, view our Hosting Plans for complete details of each plan!

Do you offer dial-up Internet access?
No, you must provide your own Internet access.

What are email aliases and how many can I use?
Email aliases are email addresses that you create. Any mail sent to these aliases would automatically be forwarded to your existing POP email account or redirected to another third party POP account.You can have as many email aliases as you want, your mail account is pre-configured to "Catch All" email directed at anyname@yourdomain.com.

Can you design my web site for me?
YES! We provide web design services. You may contact us for site design ideas and prices.

Does my account come with web statistic software?
Traffic analysis software comes pre-installed with every web hosting account! We use webalizer and a few others.They are very easy to access.

Do you have a database system?
We use MySQL, PGSQL, MS ACCESS and MS SQL. We have found that our members require all of these options due to today's technology

Does each virtual server have its own raw log files?
Yes. You have access to your own raw log files.

Does WebXLR8 offer SSI?
SSI is on all of our servers. You just need to be sure that you call your files with the .shtml extension.

Do you support wildcards or sub domains?
We do not support wildcards.We can create subdomains for your account mydomain.com like sub.mydomain.com
If you want to have sub.mydomain.com point to the main index page for mydomain.com there is no additional charge.
